#比特币重复使用地址持有433万枚btc

The public keys of 6.26 million BTC have been revealed, including 4.33 million BTC from address reuse.

Data shared by Glassnode co-founder Rafael has brought Bitcoin’s long-term security concerns back into the discussion.

Why does address reuse matter?

A Bitcoin address can receive funds repeatedly, but once its public key has been revealed on-chain, continuing to use the same address won’t hide the key again. If quantum computers eventually become capable of breaking today’s cryptography, these assets could face more direct risks.

However, a public key being revealed does not mean the private key has been compromised, nor does it mean these BTC can be easily stolen right now.

What ordinary holders can do is develop better wallet habits: use a newly generated address for each payment whenever possible, keep private keys and recovery phrases safe, and stay informed about security upgrades to wallets and the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Quantum computing isn’t an immediate theft alert, but you can start practicing these basic address management habits today.
