Samsung has officially confirmed that it is integrating cross-border USDC stablecoin transfers natively into Samsung Wallet. This major payment feature is scheduled to roll out in the last week of October 2026.
The official announcements from the Samsung Newsroom and the Solana Foundation clarify how the system works and add a few key details
Key Details of
Massive Scale: The feature will immediately become accessible on 82 million active Samsung Galaxy devices across the United States.
Seamless Interface: Users will not need separate crypto applications, standalone Web3 software, or complex private seed phrase management. The transaction option will sit natively on the same screen users open for credit cards, digital IDs, and boarding passes.
Global Transfers: U.S. users can transfer USDC directly to external crypto wallets (with zero Samsung transfer fees) or execute global remittances to bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients can receive payouts directly in local fiat currency.
The Infrastructure Behind It: While the Solana Network operates behind the scenes as a core settlement layer, Samsung also named Sui as an infrastructure network partner. Regulated financial movements and custody are managed by Bastion and Coinbase Prime Vault
