In last night's round of decline, $ETH took the heaviest hit.
So far, over the past 24 hours, $1.12 billion has been liquidated, 187,000 people were wiped out, and about 93% came from long positions. ETH liquidations reached $318.3 million, higher than $BTC 's $286.15 million; the largest single liquidation also came from ETH, at about $19.98 million.
Outside the market is no more stable: the Nasdaq fell 1.25%, the semiconductor sector dropped 3.4%, and Brent crude surged 4.1% to $104.28. Macro conditions first pushed risk assets lower, and contract liquidations then amplified crypto volatility once again.
Over the next two days, I will watch whether ETH/BTC and SOL/BTC can hold steady. If both ratios keep falling, leverage has come out, and the money willing to catch high-volatility assets has not yet returned.
