Bitcoin is facing a fresh macro challenge as the AI infrastructure boom drives up global borrowing costs.

Minutes from the Federal Reserve’s recent meeting reveal that massive private debt issuance for AI data centers, chips, and energy demands—projected to reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion by 2030—is pushing Treasury yields higher. The 10-year Treasury yield recently touched 5.28%, offering investors substantial risk-free returns.

Even if the Fed ends its rate hikes, ongoing demand for long-term AI capital could keep borrowing costs elevated. Higher real yields traditionally drain liquidity from risk-on assets like crypto, as institutional capital finds attractive yield in traditional debt markets without taking on digital asset volatility.

While Bitcoin’s long-term thesis remains intact, high yield environments test market liquidity in the medium term. Traders will need to monitor macro yield trends just as closely as crypto-native catalysts.

Do you think rising Treasury yields will cap Bitcoin’s upside, or will institutional demand absorb the macro pressure?
