The cybersecurity firm Salus reported that attackers used malicious permit signatures to obtain unlimited spending authorization for USDG, then called the "transferFrom" function in the same transaction to drain funds from users' wallets. The stolen funds were split between two attacker-controlled addresses, following a pattern similar to a profit-sharing model. Revenue recently disclosed a breach of its social media platform and temporarily suspended exchange operations while warning of unauthorized activity.
