The institution hoarding XRP more aggressively than anyone else wants to list on Nasdaq—but at the last minute, the final step got pushed back again 🦖

On October 7, Evernorth filed an amended document with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, pushing the closing date of its merger with Armada II to October 9. The first day of regular trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN was moved to October 12. The company characterized this as an administrative delay, saying it would not affect the closing itself.

A week earlier, on September 30, Armada II shareholders had already approved the merger. The process was basically complete. What’s holding things up now isn’t approval—it’s the timetable.

The company’s mission is pretty straightforward: it’s an institutional vehicle designed to hold and accumulate XRP for the long term. In other words, it wants to open a regulated door for traditional investors who can’t easily buy crypto directly.

The price action is worth watching even more closely. In the early hours of October 8, XRP was trading at $1.4251, between intraday support at $1.3996 and the first resistance level at $1.4409. On the daily chart, it was still above five of its eight moving averages, and the 50-day moving average was above the 200-day. The structure hasn’t broken down—but the four-hour chart has already turned bearish. The four-hour RSI fell to 31.1, entering oversold territory, while the daily MACD histogram was negative, at 0.0170 versus a signal line of 0.0328 📉

In plain English, this is a classic tug-of-war between bulls and bears. The daily chart is still putting on a bullish front, but the shorter time frames are already bleeding. And with the listing window extended at this exact moment, the market will be more sensitive to every new development. Any bullish or bearish candle could be overinterpreted.

My take: the five-day delay doesn’t change the fundamentals by itself, but it prolongs the suspense. The real test is whether XRP can hold the $1.3996 support level before October 12. If it holds, the listing is a bonus. If it doesn’t, even the best story has to clear the price hurdle first 💥
