‏🇺🇸 Samsung partners with "Solana" to enable stablecoin transactions across 82 million devices in the United States using Samsung Wallet.
Samsung announced that Samsung Wallet will support stablecoin transactions (starting with USDC) for eligible Galaxy device users in the United States, beginning in the last week of October 2026, on around 82 million Galaxy devices in America.
The details:
• The feature is built into Samsung Wallet (not a separate app) and lets users send USDC across borders to compatible wallets or to bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where it is converted into the local currency.
• Samsung said blockchain network support is provided by partners including Solana and Sui.
• The Solana Foundation confirmed the partnership and announced that Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoins on Solana for these devices.
• Custody and operations are handled by Bastion (a licensed entity), with Coinbase acting as sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime—not by Solana alone.
In short: the partnership with Solana to enable USDC transactions through Samsung Wallet on 82 million U.S. devices is real news. Note, however, that Solana is a network partner alongside Sui, while the regulatory infrastructure and custody are handled by Bastion and Coinbase.$SOL
