Place trades while watching the charts yourself, only to see the market move in the opposite direction? Binance has a Spot Copy Trading feature—hand over the steering wheel and just choose who to follow and how much to invest.

In simple terms, Binance Spot Copy Trading automatically copies a lead trader’s live positions: when they buy, you buy; when they sell, you sell. It all happens automatically, so there’s no need to stay up all night watching the charts.

Get started in 5 steps (App):
1. Open the Binance App, tap → at the bottom, and go to the Spot Copy Trading page.
2. Choose a lead trader: filter the portfolio list (public/private) by ROI, historical returns, maximum drawdown, trading pairs, and number of copy traders. Don’t just pick whoever has the highest returns.
3. Tap to set your parameters: choose Fixed-Ratio Copying (copy positions in proportion to the lead trader’s) or Fixed-Amount Copying (a set amount per trade), then set your total copy-trading amount, stop-loss amount, and the trading pairs you want to follow.
4. Confirm the profit-sharing ratio (the lead trader takes a cut of profits) and the user agreement, then tap Save to start.
5. You can add funds, reduce positions, or stop at any time from the copy-trading page. When you stop, your funds are automatically returned to your Spot Wallet. Want to test the waters first? Try simulation mode without using real money (up to 10 traders at a time).

⚠️ Your copy-trading funds are moved from your Spot Wallet to a separate Copy Trading Wallet and can’t be used elsewhere until you stop copying. A lead trader’s past ROI is no guarantee of future performance.

My take: For beginners who don’t have time to watch the charts, copy trading is a great alternative to staying up all night placing trades. During sharp market swings, manual traders are especially prone to emotional decisions. But keep two things in mind: First, profit sharing and slippage will eat into your returns. The more frequently a lead trader trades, the higher your costs, so Fixed-Amount Copying is easier to control than Fixed-Ratio Copying. Second, don’t go all in on one lead trader. Spread your funds across 2–3 traders with different styles, and keep any one trader to no more than 1/5 of your total funds. One more tip: enable BNB fee payment. Spot orders in Copy Trading are charged at Spot rates, and paying with BNB still gets you 25% off—every little bit helps.
