This doesn’t mean that $BTC is in danger tomorrow or that we should rush to move our funds.
But it does give us something to think about:
👉 Bitcoin’s security depends on cryptography.
👉 Technology is advancing faster and faster.
👉 And cryptography will also have to evolve.
Vitalik even suggests that, when possible, more resilient cryptographic alternatives should be explored to withstand these advances.
My conclusion as someone learning about Bitcoin:
There’s no need to panic. We just need to understand that Bitcoin isn’t a finished technology; it’s a system that will have to adapt to technological changes.
