Evernorth just postponed its Nasdaq debut (ticker: $XRPN.US ) from October 8 to October 12, citing a minor “administrative delay.” The merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II is now scheduled to close on October 9.
Here’s my analysis of what this actually means for the market:
The delay doesn’t change anything material: a 4-day postponement changes the timeline, not the deal structure. With about 94% of shareholders having approved the deal, this is simply a matter of completing the administrative paperwork.
The treasury is massive: Evernorth is set to enter the public markets holding more than 473 million XRP and around $300 million in cash. This will make it the largest publicly listed company dedicated entirely to an XRP treasury.
No immediate supply shock: Keep in mind that this listing doesn’t mean a sudden purchase of new XRP on the open market. The partners have already funded the treasury ahead of the public debut.
Putting the price action in perspective: XRP’s recent decline of around 2% was driven by a broader wave of liquidity liquidations across the market, not a reaction to the change in Evernorth’s date.
The real test will be on October 12: Can an actively managed crypto treasury command a valuation above the market value of its token holdings?
