Markets are watching for the release of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting minutes, and there’s one question everyone wants answered:

Will the Fed raise interest rates again in October, or will it finally pause rate hikes?

Currently, the probability of another 25-basis-point rate hike has fallen to just 21.6%.

That’s already a major shift.

The Federal Reserve has already raised interest rates to 3.75%–4.00% in September, but recent data has started to change the picture.

The labor market is showing signs of weakness, inflation is easing, and the likelihood of another rate hike in the near term is less certain than before

And that matters for Bitcoin.

High interest rates can keep liquidity scarce and make investors more cautious about taking risks.

If the Federal Reserve pauses rate hikes, it could ease some pressure on financial markets and improve overall sentiment.

This doesn’t mean Bitcoin will automatically rise, but it could give BTC a more favorable environment for an upward move.

Still, there’s something else I’m watching.

The dollar and Treasury yields both matter here.

If yields continue to rise and the dollar stays strong, Bitcoin could remain under pressure even if the Federal Reserve temporarily pauses rate hikes.

Tonight’s minutes could trigger significant volatility.

Dovish Fed → less fear of rate hikes → improved risk sentiment → Bitcoin could benefit.

Hawkish Fed → fears that interest rates will stay higher for longer → stronger dollar and yields → greater pressure on cryptocurrencies

Interestingly, the market is already leaning toward a pause.

The question is whether the Federal Reserve will confirm these expectations or push back against them.

👀 Could an October pause finally give Bitcoin buyers some much-needed breathing room, or will the Federal Reserve surprise the market again?

I’m closely watching BTC, Treasury yields, and interest rate expectations.
