GOAT has a feature that other projects don’t: it runs on the Bitcoin network. Most comparable projects currently run on Ethereum or other networks, while GOAT transactions take place on the most secure Bitcoin network. There’s no doubt that security is always the most fundamental prerequisite for transactions.
GOAT Flow is extremely easy to get started with: the entire setup takes just a few minutes. Once merchants have set up GOAT Flow, they get a unified checkout portal that supports payments initiated by both human users and AI agents. It brings together credit card and cryptocurrency payment options, so merchants don’t have to repeatedly develop compatibility solutions for different types of users.
Almost every website and e-commerce service on the market today was designed from the outset for human users. Browsing, clicking, and ordering flows are all built around human behavior, with no provision for AI agents. As a result, AI agents have no straightforward way to independently find and purchase the products and services they need.
GOAT Flow fills this gap. As foundational infrastructure for merchants, it enables AI agents to easily discover all connected products and services and complete the entire purchase process autonomously. In doing so, it lays the basic groundwork for commerce powered by AI agents.
The GOAT team didn’t cast a wide net chasing every trending concept. Instead, it focused on several highly distinctive, clearly defined niche use cases and has already validated real-world agent payment applications in those areas. In their conversation, both agreed that the AI agent payments sector is on the verge of a surge in demand. More and more AI agents will become independent consumers, creating a substantial new market in transaction volume.
