Key takeaway: Venezuela’s P2P market opens the day on October 7, 2026, with the USDT spread in bolívares at 3.56% and a 15.44% premium over the official BCV dollar rate. PitbullChain’s risk traffic light for USDT/VES shows 69 out of 100 in yellow, with the label “Moderate caution.” The data was captured at 04:00 UTC from P2P Radar, which aggregates information from Binance and other platforms.
📊 The day’s figures, one by one
These are the verified values at the close of this edition, with no unnecessary rounding:
• USDT P2P (P2P Radar): buy reference at 1.008,7547 Bs and sell reference at 974,044 Bs. The nominal difference is 34,71 Bs.
• BCV dollar: 873,867 Bs, with no reported change during the period.
• Premium over the BCV rate: 15,44%. Our calculation: (1.008,7547 ÷ 873,867 − 1) × 100.
• Parallel dollar (Binance P2P): 998,87 Bs, with a spread of just 0,06 Bs (0,01%).
• Gap between the parallel rate and USDT P2P: 9,88 Bs, or about 0,99%. Our calculation based on the two reference rates.
• Active listings: 238 according to the opportunities module; 218 according to the order book. The data does not explain the difference between these two counts.
• Risk traffic light: 69/100, yellow status, with data current at the time of capture.
One additional note: the 3,56% spread is calculated by dividing the 34,71 Bs by the sell reference (974,044 Bs). If divided by the buy reference, the percentage would be lower. This methodological detail is worth keeping in mind when comparing figures from different sources.
📈 Two ways to read the same spread
Here’s the point that causes the most confusion whenever a high spread figure is published: not all measurements look at the same thing.
The P2P Radar reference (3,56%) compares two aggregated market prices: the level at which USDT is bought and the level at which it is sold. It measures overall dispersion, not the cost of entering and exiting at a particular moment.
The order book, by contrast, shows the top of the book: the best buy offer at 999,82 Bs and the best sell offer at 999,51 Bs, with a spread of 0,31 Bs, equivalent to 0,03%, and a midpoint of 999,66 Bs.
In other words, the market is flat at the top of the book—buying and selling at the first level is almost symmetrical—while the aggregated reference widens due to dispersion between the extremes in the table. These are two snapshots of the same market, taken through different lenses.
🔎 The order book: 75,6% of declared volume is on the buy side
The imbalance is the day’s most striking figure. Based on the declared volume in the book:
• Buy side: 737.859,66 USDT across 34 offers.
• Sell side: 102.544,35 USDT across 31 offers.
• Published imbalance: 75,6%.
This 75,6% is calculated using the formula (buy − sell) ÷ (buy + sell): 635.315,31 ÷ 840.404,01. In other words, there aren’t three times as many offers on one side—the counts are nearly even (34 versus 31)—but the buy-side orders are much larger. The order book shows blocks of 74.820 USDT at 996 Bs, 104.000 USDT at 995 Bs, and 180.980 USDT at 990 Bs.
Interpretation: there is more declared volume willing to absorb bolívares in exchange for USDT than volume willing to sell USDT. When so much of the size is concentrated on one side, the market becomes more sensitive to movements: if those blocks are withdrawn or executed, the price moves with less resistance. This is a structural reading, not a prediction.
