Nasdaq rises for 5th straight session, hits another record high; chip stocks rally — A-shares reopen tomorrow

☀️ Uncle’s Morning Brief|10.7 (Wednesday)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🪙 BTC around 85,600; ETH around 2,690.

BTC continues to consolidate around 85–86K, with 85K an important near-term level to watch.

🇺🇸 U.S. stocks rise for the 5th straight session:

Nasdaq +0.45%, S&P 500 +0.58%. Both closed at new record highs, with AI and chip stocks remaining strong.

🇭🇰 Hong Kong stocks extend their rebound:

The Hang Seng Index rose 1.00% yesterday, moving back above 24,000.

🗾 Asia-Pacific tech stocks remain active:

Japanese and South Korean markets opened lower this morning before recovering. Samsung Electronics rose more than 2% at one point.

⚡ Uncle’s take:

Global markets were broadly upbeat over the holiday:

U.S. stocks rose for 5 straight sessions → oil prices fell → Treasury yields eased → Hong Kong stocks rebounded → tech stocks stayed strong.

A-shares reopen tomorrow, and expectations for a higher open are fairly strong.

But a higher open doesn’t guarantee gains.

Trading volume contracted to RMB 1.4 trillion before the holiday. Tomorrow, the key things to watch are whether turnover rebounds significantly and whether tech stocks can keep leading the rally.

The holiday’s over today. See you tomorrow.
