After looking at today’s market, I’m left with one impression: the gains can’t hold, nobody’s stepping in to support the declines, and all the money is sloshing back and forth among small-cap tokens. It looks lively, but really it’s just existing funds changing hands.

$US is the most interesting one. It gained 40% in 24 hours, with over 120 million in trading volume, which shows there’s real money driving it—not just a price pump. But its price is sitting at 90% of its 24-hour range, while volume over the past hour was only 0.58 times the average, and it still closed down 1.33%. In other words: everyone pushed hard on the way up, then went quiet all at once. When price stalls near the top on declining volume, the only ones left clapping on stage are the people who chased the rally.

$Lobster is even more extreme. Its range topped 82%, with over 220 million in trading volume—the highest of the three, so there’s no shortage of money involved. But the price is only at 46% of its 24-hour range, meaning it surged and then came crashing back down. A pure roller coaster. There’s plenty of volume, but no clear direction. Anyone who bought near the top is probably staring at the candlestick chart and questioning their life choices right now.

Then there’s $GTC , down over 23%, with its price at just 2% of its 24-hour range—basically on the floor. Volume over the past hour was only 0.38 times the average; it’s down 0.81% over one hour and 3.47% over four hours. There’s been neither a panicked sell-off on heavy volume nor anyone reaching in to buy. It’s just edging lower bit by bit on shrinking volume. This kind of slow bleed is the most grueling: you wait for a big-volume flush to get it over with, but instead it just lies there playing dead and slowly leaks lower.

Taken together, volume is fading on the rallies, while there’s no support for the declines. The money is just splashing around in a small pool. Chasing a rally at this stage is like carrying someone else out the door; trying to catch a slow bleed means you can’t tell where the support is. I’d rather wait for one of two signals: either the rallying token brings volume back and holds its gains without fading, or the one bleeding lower sees a genuine surge in volume and buyers step in. Until either happens, I’ll stay on the sidelines instead of rushing to foot the bill for someone else.
