PitbullChain's P2P radar showed USDT/VES with a buy price of Bs 997,437 and a sell price of Bs 974,1798 in the snapshot taken on October 6, 2026, at 20:00 UTC. This yields an aggregate spread of Bs 23,2572, equivalent to 2,39%. The order book at the same moment showed a different picture: the best ask was Bs 995 and the best bid was Bs 993,80, a difference of Bs 1,20 (0,12%).

Neither calculation is wrong. They answer two different questions: one measures how far the market stretches; the other, the price at which the first order is matched.

📊 The headline spread and the executable spread measure different things

The 2.39% shared on social media is an extreme-price indicator: the radar’s best buy price compared with its best sell price, regardless of whether they’re from different banks, different exchanges, or ads with limits that don’t fit your amount.

The order book’s 0.12% is microstructure: the distance between the most aggressive order on each side at a given moment. In practice, the aggregate spread was almost 20 times greater than the order book spread.

• Sell 100 USDT at the radar’s best sell price: Bs 97,417.98.
