🚨 ETF FLOWS ON 05/10: IS THERE AN ISSUE WITH THE ETH DATA?
Bitcoin ETF flows on 05/10 came in at -$89.9 million, with Ark Invest seeing the largest outflow at around -$85.2 million.
More concerning, Ethereum ETF data is showing an unusual figure of -$19.9 billion, recorded primarily from BlackRock.
This outflow is exceptionally large compared with typical ETH ETF flows, so the data is likely erroneous or there may be an issue with the update process. Therefore, we shouldn’t rush to conclude that BlackRock actually withdrew $19.9B from ETH ETFs.
Among altcoins, SOL ETFs recorded -$9.3M, ZEC -$3.6M, and HYPE -$2.7M.
What stands out most to me is that flows for BTC ETFs and altcoin ETFs are both leaning toward outflows, suggesting short-term sentiment remains relatively cautious.
As for ETH’s -$19.9B figure, we’ll need to wait for the relevant providers to update and verify the data. If it’s just a data error, the actual impact would be negligible.
