The security measure was purely precautionary, and the incident is under investigation.
MetaMask organized an orderly withdrawal of approximately 17,000 validators, most of them operated through Lido Finance.
The waiting list for the mass staking withdrawal became overwhelmed, with wait times of two weeks.
