The USDT P2P market in Venezuela cannot be explained by a single number. In the order book snapshot from October 5, captured at 16:00 UTC, other platforms listed their best ask at Bs 965.50 per USDT, other platforms were around Bs 980, and Binance quoted between Bs 982.50 and Bs 983.29. The gap between the lowest and highest sell offers in the book was Bs 17.50, equivalent to 1.78% above an average price of Bs 974.25. That is measurable dispersion, not a “dollar today” headline.
📊 Three exchanges, three different floors
The day's best ask was on other platforms: Bs 965.50, with 2,268.80 USDT available in a single listing and limits from Bs 226.88 to Bs 2,268.80. The next two levels in the same order book were also on other platforms: Bs 967.27 with 568.62 USDT and Bs 968.25 with 309.34 USDT.
Other platforms appeared a little higher up: Bs 980 with 204.68 USDT spread across three listings, Bs 980.84 with 130 USDT, and Bs 980.85 with 919.37 USDT, one of the largest blocks in that range. At Bs 981, there were 191.27 USDT across two listings on other platforms.
Binance dominated the high end with the largest listings: Bs 982.50 with 17,078.11 USDT in a single Banco Nacional de Crédito listing; a ladder from Bs 982.81 to Bs 982.99 with several Banesco listings; and Bs 983 with 36,771.08 USDT spread across six listings from Banesco, Provincial, and BNC. Also notable were Bs 983.15 with 5,677.92 USDT via Pago Móvil and BNC, and Bs 983.29 with 17,087.90 USDT across three listings.
Methodological note: the best ask is the lowest published sell offer at the time of the snapshot. It is not the rate at which the entire day's trading closes, nor a single market price. That's why, on the same day, a rate of Bs 965.50 on other platforms can coexist with Bs 982.50–983.29 on Binance.
📈 The 12.86% premium and the comparison with the BCV
The BCV published the dollar at Bs 871.3689. Against that benchmark, the buy rate reported by the P2P radar (Bs 983.4688) represents a 12.86% premium. The sell rate stood at Bs 956.7977, and the difference between the two—the overall spread—was Bs 26.67, or 2.79%.
The dashboard's conversion figures were as follows: 100 USDT was equivalent to Bs 95,679.77 using the sell-rate benchmark, and Bs 1,000,000 would buy 1,045.15 USDT. In the parallel market, the cross-reference showed Bs 980.75, with a buy rate of Bs 983.22 and a sell rate of Bs 978.27. For euros, the BCV published Bs 981.18 and the parallel market Bs 1,107.41, a premium of 12.87%.
For comparison within Binance: the best published buy price was Bs 982.10, and the median buy price was Bs 982.60. That's the figure worth watching to locate the center of the order book, rather than the day's exchange-rate headline.
Keep an eye on the figures. The radar's internal signals section reports an 11.3% premium, while the main dashboard shows 12.86%. This is not a market contradiction; it's a change in the price benchmark. When comparing figures, make clear which price you're using as the denominator.
🔎 Banks: where the depth is
The bank comparison ranks liquidity as follows: Other method, with 28 listings and a score of 87; Banesco, with 21 listings and a score of 85 (average buy price Bs 983.36 and a spread of 0.86%); and Pago Móvil, with 24 listings and a score of 80 (average Bs 983.79 and a spread of 0.81%). Further down are Banco de Venezuela, with 19 listings and a score of 74, and BANK, with 17 listings and a score of 70. BNC and Provincial each have only a few listings.
The dashboard reports 270 active offers across the platforms monitored; the day's processed order book covers 97 listings across Binance and other platforms. These are different sets: one counts what is available, while the other measures what's in the book with verifiable prices and depth. It's worth checking both before drawing conclusions.
💰 The imbalance: 88.36% of volume is on the buy side
The day's most striking figure is the market depth. The buy side totaled 1,646,065.96 USDT across 43 levels, while the sell side totaled 101,747.56 USDT across 36 levels. The order-book analysis shows an 88.36% imbalance in favor of demand.
