I didn’t open a single position in the past 7 days. Today, I took a moment to pull up the prices I’d noted last time and compare them.
BTC’s high this week was 87,249 and its low was 82,500, for a weekly range of 5.76%. I broke it down by day and recalculated: the average daily range was just 2.52%, and the biggest single-day move was 4.06%—that 5.76% was ground out gradually over seven days, not caused by a sudden crash on any one day.
When I’m watching the market every day, a 2-point move is enough to make me itchy to trade. I didn’t check once this whole week, and only after crunching the numbers did I realize I’d managed to avoid it.
Were you watching the market every day this week, or did you just tune it out like I did?
