What I’m watching in tokenization is not simply assets moving on-chain. It is price discovery becoming digital before ownership does.
I think the sequence of change in financial infrastructure is being misunderstood. Markets are digitizing price exposure first, not ownership. Synthetic products and perpetual structures can already bring the economic movement of an asset on-chain, while true ownership, custody and settlement infrastructure follow later.
That leads me to a different conclusion.
The future advantage may not belong to the platform that tokenizes the most assets. It may belong to the infrastructure that can close the gap between synthetic price discovery and real ownership.
Because if price discovery happens in one place, ownership in another and collateral somewhere else, the system is still fragmented. As those layers move closer together, on-chain finance stops being just another product category and starts becoming actual market infrastructure.
For me, the real race is not about which stock gets tokenized next.
It is about who can bring price discovery and real ownership as close to the same layer as possible.
I think the next major financial layer will be built there.
