What Will Happen in the Markets This Week?

Macro Market

When we look at the data this week, we can expect a relatively calm week. The important part, however, is the incoming data flow, which will bring clarity to a number of unresolved questions.

My expectation is this: we’ll see a cautious and volatile week in which both the issues at home and the two major contradictions in America are being worked through, without a clear direction emerging—at least not yet. We’ll get the real direction on Wednesday evening.

On the U.S. dollar index side, the March 2025 price rose up to 102.20, reaching a level it hasn’t seen in a long time. Actually, this is positive in terms of strengthening the dollar; however, officials at the Federal Reserve can’t agree among themselves. While some say, "Inflation hasn’t ended; we will raise rates," others say, "Let’s not rush."
