The crypto market turned out to be much emptier than it seems.
Imagine a huge shopping mall with 558 stores.
But over the course of the whole day, 399 of them made not a single dollar at all.
This is roughly the situation we see right now among blockchains.
According to DeFiLlama data, out of 558 tracked networks over the past 24 hours:
🔴 399 — $0 in fees
💸 443 — less than $10
📉 514 — less than $1,000
🚀 And only 7 networks managed to raise more than $100,000.
Solana became the leader — about $1.09M in fees. Next are Tron, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, and Robinhood Chain.
And this is where it gets really interesting 👀
Creating a new blockchain today is relatively easy. But getting people to use it is a completely different story.
There are more and more networks, but real economic activity remains concentrated around a small number of major players.
So for a new blockchain, the main question is no longer «can we launch it?», but:
👉 «But who will use it in the first place?»
And it seems that’s exactly where the crypto market starts separating real activity from blockchains that still exist more «on paper».
