Longs and shorts clashed at the ZK Plaza—one side shouting that 0.0157 is about to break and take off, while the other says 0.0126 is about to drop through the floor. With the same token, on the same day, they’re definitely not arguing about the same thing.

On Binance Plaza, discussion of ZK spiked to 4.8 times the usual level within two days—but dig deeper and there’s basically no new ZKsync economic event happening. On October 3rd, a technical note claimed ZKUSDT saw a surge in turnover and then pulled back from a high near resistance. CoinMarketCap’s data for the same day, however, showed it down 3.92%, with thin liquidity and no clear catalyst. Both sides are telling different stories. The louder the argument gets, the more it shows this is a chart-and-emotion battle—not a fundamental pivot.

The “institutional bank-chain” collaboration stories—Deutsche Bank/Memento, Cari Network, Prividium—sound like blockbuster news that was just dropped. In reality, they’ve been dead for months. It’s not new progress today; it just happens to coincide with this price move getting dug up and炒 again. The fee-sharing and token buyback rumors circulating in the community sound like ZK is about to finally capture real value—but when you open ZKsync’s own documentation, all of it is still stuck at the proposal stage. Not a single one has actually been executed on-chain. Discussion heat is not the same as something that’s already happened. On October 17th, another 173.4 million ZK tokens are set to unlock—about 0.8% of circulating supply, 1.6% of market cap. That’s a real sell-pressure risk, but it’s not a reason to immediately dump within the next 24 hours.

In the short term, I’m bearish—I can’t help it. Without any real value-capture landing, you can’t prop up the price just by interpreting a few old partnership headlines. There’s only one way the narrative turns: fee-sharing or buybacks must truly be written into on-chain execution, not remain stuck on paper as proposals. Only then does the story genuinely change. Until that time, don’t lie to yourself.
