I’m not afraid of losing—if I lose foolishly and vaguely, being casually slaughtered by the exchange for me to just accept it, then I won’t stand for it.
BTW, I went long with 10x leverage. I kept adding to my position until my opening price was 0.9316. According to what customer service said, liquidation is calculated using the contract’s mark price. The lowest the mark price fell to was 0.874—that’s a drop of 9.38%. Even then, I hadn’t reached the liquidation price, but the exchange still liquidated me at 0.882 in order to collect a liquidation fee. The purpose is to charge me a $50 liquidation fee, and then give the remaining $169 to the counterparty.
If it still doesn’t reach the liquidation (blow-up) price and they liquidate me at a higher price anyway, what is that if it isn’t fraud?
They liquidated me at 0.882. Fucking unbelievable.
