$BTC, Beijing time October 2, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved changes to exchange rules, allowing leveraged products designed to track Bitcoin futures and target three times daily returns to be listed.

BTC is Bitcoin; it can be used for value storage and transfers, and it is also a common underlying asset for futures and exchange-traded products.

The release says this approval is for listing rules, but the actual sale will have to wait for another securities registration to take effect.
