The P2P trade of USDT in Venezuela opened on October 2, 2026 with the traffic light on yellow ("Moderate caution", score 71) and a spread of 4.81%: Bs. 975.04 on the buy side and Bs. 930.28 on the sell side. With 207 active offers, this gap stands out; it’s also the area where anomalous offers usually appear.

The context is not theoretical. In Venezuela, a man accused of stealing Binance accounts from users (criptotendencias.com, September 30, 2026) was detained. This is added to the mega-operation “Fake Coins,” with 24 arrests and more than USD 8 million in cryptocurrencies seized from scams (Infobae, May 27, 2026).

This tutorial does not promise returns or indicate when to buy or sell. It’s a verification protocol: what to check, how to shield your account during the process, and what to do afterward if something goes wrong.

📊 1. Today’s dashboard: what the numbers say

• USDT P2P: Bs. 975.04 (buy) / Bs. 930.28 (sell). Spread of Bs. 44.77, equivalent to 4.81%.

• BCV dollar: Bs. 866.5612. The P2P premium calculated against that rate is 12.52%.

• Parallel reference (Binance P2P): Bs. 961.87, with its own spread of 0.39%.

• Order book: 192 ads. Best ask at Bs. 963.50 (other platforms, Pago Móvil) and best bid at Bs. 959.00 (Binance). The imbalance is 33.62% with more volume on the buyer side.

• Depth: 240,997 USDT on the buy side and 119,719.36 USDT on the sell side, according to the book screenshot.

Transparency note: the radar also emits an internal signal of “low premium: 9.94%,” calculated against another reference. Our calculation using the published BCV rate (Bs. 866.5612) yields 12.52%. When two readings don’t match, verify which rate you are using before deciding.

Interpretation: high liquidity (95/100) and high banking availability (95/100) coexist with medium depth (45/100) and high spread (20/100). Practical translation: there is someone to trade with, but the price requires comparing before moving a bolívar.

📈 2. Before trading: counterparty verification in 6 steps

• Merchant reputation. Check completion percentage, number of operations, and above all, reviews from the last 30 days. A 99% reputation with 3,000 orders says more than a 100% reputation with 12.

• Age and pace. A merchant that posts offers every day for months has a verifiable history. Be wary of newly created accounts with eye-catching prices.

• Bank and payment method. Compare the bank of the offer with the bank comparator. Today, Banesco leads (20 ads, score 86), “Another method” (25, score 84), and Pago Móvil (24, score 82).

• Limits and amount. Compare the amount you want to move with the counterparty’s historical average. If your transaction is 10 times their usual ticket, it’s a sign of friction.

• Account holder match. The name of the holder of the receiving account must match the verified merchant on the platform. If they ask you to deposit to a third party, stop.

• Price vs the order book. Place the offer within the order book. A price far above the best ask with little volume behind it is a bigger red flag than any promise of speed.

Bank or method Advertisements Score Spread

Banesco 20 86 1.50%

Another method 25 84 2.12%

Pago Móvil 24 82 2.11%

Bank of Venezuela 15 68 0.69%

BANK 10 58 0.69%

Mercantil 7 52 0.74%

Provincial 7 52 0.76%

BBVA 5 50 No data

🔎 3. During the transaction: account shielding

• 2FA with an authentication app, not via SMS. Enable two-step verification also on the associated email.

• Anti-phishing: set up the platform’s anti-phishing code and always verify the domain before entering credentials. No legitimate support asks for your 2FA code, your password, or email screenshots.

• Don’t leave the platform chat. “Migration” to WhatsApp or Telegram to “speed things up” is a classic fraud pattern.

• Don’t release the order before confirming the credit. Verify the money in the app or in your bank’s online banking, not in a screenshot sent to you by the other party.
