🚨 THE SEC JUST GAVE TOKENIZED STOCKS A 5-YEAR EXPERIMENT ON PUBLIC BLOCKCHAINS.

This is bigger than another “RWA is coming” headline.

The SEC has granted a temporary five-year Innovation Exemption allowing eligible Tokenized Securities Venues to trade certain tokenized U.S. NMS stocks through permissioned AMMs and liquidity pools.

And there’s a key detail:
These can’t just be fake price trackers.

The tokenized shares must carry the same rights and privileges as the underlying stock, while the smart contracts must be public, auditable, and deployed on a public permissionless blockchain.

That means the regulatory experiment is not about creating synthetic casino chips.

It’s about testing whether real equity ownership can move onto blockchain rails.

Think about what that opens up:
24/7 market infrastructure.
Onchain settlement.
Programmable liquidity.
Fewer intermediaries.

The SEC is still keeping this limited, permissioned and capped.
But the direction is obvious.

Wall Street is no longer debating whether stocks can go onchain.
It’s starting to test how.
