Major tech stocks show mixed performance in the pre-market. Nvidia rises 0.82%, Apple falls 0.07%, Microsoft drops 0.13%, Google gains 2.26%, Amazon rises 0.28%, Meta falls 0.06%, and Tesla rises 0.42%.

Storage chip stocks are broadly higher in the pre-market. Micron rises 0.62%, SanDisk climbs 1.84%, SK Hynix gains 1.53%, Western Digital increases 1.61%, and Seagate Technology adds 1.37%.

Optical communications stocks are broadly up pre-market. Lumentum rises 1.72%, Corning gains 1.46%, Coherent increases 1.50%, Applied Optoelectronics climbs 1.49%, Ciena rises 1.20%, Broadcom gains 1.13%, and MKS/Wireless? (Mayer?), Mirel Technology? rises 1.69%.

WTI crude oil futures rise 1.84% to $92.08 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures increase 1.47% to $99.47 per barrel.

Spot gold in London rises 0.18% to $4,163.62 per ounce; spot silver in London rises 0.39% to $60.631 per ounce.
