$MU After the earnings report came out, it didn’t move up or down. It’s still not far from the previous high, but given that the Nasdaq sold off at the close yesterday, there has been some capital flowing into the semiconductor sector. The more important thing is how things look after today’s open.
The probability of rate hikes has decreased because the PCE came in line with expectations, and oil prices are also down—but the Nasdaq hasn’t shown much of a reaction. Treasury yields haven’t changed either.
I still feel that the later stage of the rebound cycle is probably about to show up. If the rebound reaches this area and then just chops around—there isn’t much room for arbitrage. I’m just not really keen on doing it.
I’ll wait for a higher-odds moment to open a short position. If the Nasdaq doesn’t break the previous high and Micron stays put, then it’s time to increase the short position size.
$SKHY For Hynix, I’ll start with a small short position first. Let’s see which direction this move chooses. If it goes with a trend, I’ll place a 10-point stop-loss and then wait for specific turning points—right now the price action is definitely too chaotic.
If the trend for TEM hasn’t broken down, then we can hold it a bit longer.
Next, I’m going to do trades that won’t involve short-term arbitrage anymore—only follow the trend. Once the direction comes out.
