$XRP | What changed in XRPL?
.
.
The $XRP Ledger has just gained a new important chapter in the Brazilian financial market.
CSD BR, a market infrastructure that records more than R$ 22 trillion in assets, has started a partnership with Ripple to use the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for the mirrored recording of BTG Pactual fund holdings.

In the first phase, the records will be represented on the XRPL using the Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) standard. The blockchain will work as an additional layer for querying, verification, and auditing.

Important: this DOES NOT mean that the R$ 22 trillion are being tokenized on the XRP Ledger. CSD BR remains the official source for ownership, custody, and settlement records.

Access is also intended for authorized institutional participants, in accordance with KYC and AML rules.

Why does this deserve attention?
Because XRPL is being brought into direct contact with a regulated financial infrastructure and real assets.

And the project could go further: if the first stage advances, CSD BR and Ripple plan to explore the native issuance of other assets on the blockchain, including potential fixed-income instruments such as CRIs and CRAs.
Meanwhile, the protocol also recently received version 3.4.1, an emergency update focused on security and stability.

📌 In summary:

• CSD BR + Ripple
• BTG Pactual as the first case
• +R$ 22 trillion in assets recorded by CSD BR
• XRPL as an additional auditing layer
• MPT for representing the assets
• KYC/AML for authorized participants
• Potential next step: native tokenization

The most interesting point here isn’t only XRP as an asset.

It’s observing how XRPL is being gradually integrated into traditional financial infrastructure.
