Chainlink’s latest announcement says it is helping financial institutions connect to the Swift ledger through CRE. Banks still control the transaction signing keys themselves, and tokenized deposits also remain on the banks’ ledgers. The goal is to keep cross-border payments running on weekends and at night.

Next, what I care about more is which banks actually end up using it and how much business volume it can generate. The technical integration has moved one step forward, but how reflected it becomes in token demand still depends on real usage.
