The big pancake just broke below 83,000 earlier, with the low around 82,560, and liquidations burned too.

Don’t panic—this time isn’t about no capital.
Last week’s U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF saw net inflows of about $2.39 billion, hitting the highest weekly inflow level this year. On Monday alone, it was close to $1 billion in a single day; by Friday there was still around $130 million left. IBIT alone carried roughly $1.16 billion. Money is flowing in, prices are shaking—that’s the most eye-catching part.

Objectively speaking, the weekly inflows are strong, but they’re not a ticket to immediate liftoff. Today’s high is about 84,380; it’s been hovering around 83,800, and Coinbase spot is around 83,830. Long liquidations are roughly in the ~$400 million range—leverage took the first cut. Whether spot is picking up around 83,000 will determine whether this is just a washout or a further dip.

For those holding longs: on a rebound into 84,300–84,800, trim a bit. If 83,000 still holds, you can keep it. If it’s lost and price drops to 82,600, admit the mistake.
If you don’t have longs, don’t chase the sell-off. First, see whether 83,000 can be quickly reclaimed. If it’s reclaimed, treat it as a washout. If it can’t be reclaimed, then look lower.

Next, watch two things: whether this week’s ETF daily inflows continue to shrink toward near zero, and whether tomorrow’s macro data will again add pressure to yields. Rhythm matters more than slogans.
