🇺🇸Just now: U.S. emergency oil reserves have fallen to the lowest level since 1982

Strategic oil reserves currently hold only 283.8 million barrels, down from about 406 million barrels a year ago.

This is less than 40% of its 714 million-barrel capacity.

The decline began in March, when the U.S. released 172 million barrels of oil to limit the damage caused by the Iran war.
