👨🏻💻❌𓆩☠︎︎𓆪 This scam shows that even a seemingly functional blockchain can be fake.
Criminals created a network that imitated GIWA, a Layer 2 developed by Dunamu, the parent company of Upbit.
And it wasn’t just a fake website.
The Infrastructure Was👇
🔹 blockchain producing blocks
🔹 functional bridge
🔹 batcher
🔹 network appearance built with OP Stack
🔹 Chain ID 9134
The problem got even bigger when DYORSWAP identified the fraudulent network as the future GIWA Mainnet and started supporting it.
Result:
👥 1,335 addresses deposited funds
💰 767.65 ETH entered the bridge
🚨 ~766.25 ETH were withdrawn
💵 value close to US$ 2 million
But there’s one decisive detail:
GIWA MAINNET WAS NEVER EVEN RELEASED.
The official public infrastructure is still the GIWA testnet.
DYORSWAP says its contracts were not hacked; the mistake was incorrectly validating the fake blockchain as legitimate. The platform also said it would use its treasury to compensate users and that more than 200 $ETH had already been allocated for reimbursements.

THE CORRECT CHAIN ID DOES NOT PROVE A NETWORK IS OFFICIAL.
Before using a new bridge, you must verify the official domain, documentation, RPC, and the project’s own announcement.
