😱 Brazil has just emerged as one of the largest institutional hubs on the $XRP Ledger.
According to Markus Infanger, Senior Vice President at RippleX, there are around US$ 6.7 billion in real-world tokenized financial assets on the XRPL, and approximately US$ 2.7 billion of that is in Brazil.
That puts the country at about:

The progress is mainly driven by private credit, stablecoins, agribusiness, funds, and other tokenized financial products.
One concrete example is VERT, which executed a R$ 700 million CRA (Credit Receivables Certificate) operation for infrastructure based on the XRPL and its EVM Sidechain. The company also planned to expand the platform to an additional wallet of over US$ 500 million.
Another is Mercado Bitcoin, which announced plans to tokenize more than US$ 200 million in regulated assets on the XRP Ledger.
The logic is powerful:
TRADITIONAL ASSET → TOKENIZATION → XRPL → SETTLEMENT IN SECONDS
According to Infanger, certain structures can settle in about 3–5 seconds, while traditional markets may operate in D+1 or longer.
⚠️ But there’s a nuance: the US$ 2.7 billion figure was reported by a Ripple executive, and “tokenized asset” can cover different issuance and recording structures. That doesn’t necessarily mean US$ 2.7 billion is available for public trading or DeFi, and it also doesn’t automatically imply demand for XRP.
