$BTC VND moving sideways, but sometimes this is also the time to look back at some interesting numbers. šŸ¤“ If you think 24h volume is enough to judge liquidity, take a look at this.

In fact, the Binance order book (/depth 1000 price levels) shows: $BTC volume is close to $1.2B, but placing a $1M order only slips 0.009%. Pretty solid. Ether (ETH) is similar—$561M volume, yet a $1M order only slips 0.029%. If you’re buying these, you’ll feel a bit safer.

But when switching to ZEC and QNT, it’s a totally different story. ZEC has $292M volume—sounds big—but a $1M order slips by 0.233%. As for the ā€œfinal bossā€ QNT, 24h volume is up to $247M, yet a $1M order slips as much as 8.945%. 😐 QNT’s spread is also quite high at 2.23 bps. That’s an ā€œinvisible feeā€ that can kill your account faster than misreading a chart.

So don’t just look at 24h volume. Turn on the order book and check the depth. For big orders, keep using Limit orders—throwing big Market orders will land you with that ā€œjuicyā€ slippage.

How do you guys usually check liquidity before entering a trade? šŸ¤”
