Verify current data in Radar P2P

A P2P order book is not a price list: it’s a snapshot of what people are willing to buy and sell at a given moment. Reading it correctly changes three concrete decisions: which bank you use, what amount you request, and what limit you accept. Here we break down the USDT/VES book with visible levels, the P2P Radar panel, and the bank comparator.

Snapshot used as an example (order book captured on 27/09/2026 at 05:59 UTC): bestAsk 967.69 Bs., bestBid 964.50 Bs., mid price 966.10 Bs., and spread 3.19 Bs. (0.33%). Declared depth: 430,890.66 USDT across 31 buy-side ads and 179,808.59 USDT across 33 sell-side ads, with an imbalance of 41.11% toward buying. These are facts from that cut, not projections.

📊 What is a P2P order book and how is it different from spot

On a spot exchange, there’s a centralized order book with a single price engine. In P2P trading, each level of the book is an ad from a real person, with their bank, limits, reputation, and payment method. That changes how you read it:

• There isn’t “the USDT price.” There’s a price for your amount, your bank, and your time.

• The book is ordered by price, so it looks like a staircase: the first steps are the cheapest (or best-paid, depending on the side).

• An ad can disappear in minutes. The book is a snapshot, not a contract.

📈 bestAsk and bestBid: the two prices that actually matter

bestAsk is the lowest price at which someone is selling USDT: if you buy, that’s your starting point. bestBid is the highest price at which someone is buying USDT: if you sell, that’s your starting point. In the analyzed cut:

• bestAsk 967.69 Bs. — 1 ad, Banesco bank, 4,147.14 USDT available, limits from 414.71 to 4,147.14 USDT.

• bestBid 964.50 Bs. — 1 ad, Banco de Venezuela, 2,048.77 USDT available, limits from 204.88 to 2,048.77 USDT.

• Mid price: 966.10 Bs. — the equidistant point between both extremes, useful as a neutral reference.

Pay attention to a detail almost nobody looks at: the best buy price and the best sell price are in different banks. This anticipates what you’ll see further down: your bank determines the price you actually get.

🔎 Absolute spread vs. percentage spread

The spread is the distance between bestAsk and bestBid. Here it’s 3.19 Bs. in absolute terms. That number only helps you compare within the same day, because 3.19 Bs. doesn’t mean the same thing with a USDT at 900 as it does at 1,400.

The percentage spread is the one you compare across different moments: 3.19 ÷ 966.10 = 0.33%. A low percentage spread means buying and selling are close; a high spread indicates friction, less competition, or more uncertainty.

Be careful not to mix methodologies. The Radar P2P panel reports in the same cut an aggregated spread of 5.26% (buy 979.36 Bs. / sell 930.42 Bs.), which is very different from the 0.33% of the order book. They don’t contradict each other: they measure different things. The order-book spread is the top-of-book of the visible levels; the aggregated one mixes platforms, methods, and averages. Comparing one with the other is comparing pears with apples. The same happens with the premium vs. BCV: the traffic-light panel calculates it at 14.28% over a BCV rate of 857.0058 Bs., while another reading from the same panel reports 11.42%. The difference is in the calculation base. Practical rule: always note what rate you’re comparing against.

💰 Depth: how much the book can handle before it moves

Depth answers a simple question: if you want to trade more than what is in the first level, how much does it cost to move up to the next one? The accumulated levels are the tool.

On the sell side (asks), between 967.69 and 967.90, 13,880.95 USDT accumulate. When you reach 968.75, a single ad appears with 23,988.44 USDT and banks Mercantil, BNC, and Bancamiga. On the buy side (bids), between 964.50 and 963.10 there are 36,864.22 USDT; when 963.00 is hit, 102,349.32 USDT suddenly appear, split across 4 ads. This discontinuity is normal in P2P: liquidity comes in blocks, not in a smooth slope.
