Starting September 4, a line of text appeared next to the quoted prices of four tokens on Binance’s spot token list: Travala, Gains Network, Scroll, Towns. Those singled out have to complete a risk questionnaire once every 90 days. The quoted prices and trading remain unchanged, but the placement is now subject to a review each month. This label itself does not provide any numbers.
Lay them out like this: Travala at about $19.14 million, Gains Network at about $11.46 million, Scroll at about $4.72 million, and Towns at about $4.56 million—four tokens squeezed into the same tier. In a seven-day window, their range goes from 6.75% to 12.51%. For their pricing lines, Binance assigns one line each to Travala and Gains Network, and three lines each to Scroll and Towns. On the day the label takes effect, two of the tokens on a single line land at 4.88% and 0.38%, while two of the tokens on three lines land at 7.5% and 9.02%. The label treats all four equally; the breadth and narrowness of the quote side split them into two groups. Binance’s platform token BNB is used as the anchor for this group: the scale is in the hundreds of billions, the pricing lines are eight in number, and it’s several orders of magnitude larger than these four.
The review checklist is long: team investment, development activity, trade volume and liquidity, the stability of the network and smart contracts, public communication and coordination during due diligence, and whether there are major changes in supply. But the cadence is short—the review usually runs through the first week of each month, with the next one earliest landing in October. Most of the batches removed from the list on September 3 and August had carried this label previously.
I cross-checked the four tokens’ supply tables. Travala has a max supply of 100 million tokens, with 74.37 million already released; Gains Network has no max supply, with all 23.74 million in circulation; Scroll has a max supply of 1 billion tokens, with 190 million released; Towns has a max supply of 15.3 billion tokens, with 2.1 billion released. The checklist asks whether supply has undergone major changes. The proportions these four tokens present range from 74.4% to 13.8%, spanning a wide gap.
What is re-priced by this label is only the position on the list. It does not say a word about the quote side—how many lines are attached—or how much supply remains.
There is only one way to overturn it: if next month’s first-week review moves the list before those two strings of numbers change, then this reading is invalid. Anyone who wants to buy these tokens must first go through that questionnaire; Binance clearly lays out the quoted prices for these lines and the platform token BNB.
