🚨 WARNING: IF YOU HAVE EVER USED MAGIC EDEN, CHECK YOUR WALLET PERMISSIONS
A vulnerability in the Limit Break Payment Processor V2, which was previously used by Magic Eden for EVM transactions, means old granted approvals may remain valid even after Magic Eden stopped using this contract since October 2024.
The group at risk includes users who previously listed or traded NFTs on the Magic Eden EVM, especially during the period around February–October 2024.
Current Magic Eden listings are not affected. However, if your wallet still has an "Approved for all" permission for the Payment Processor, your assets may be at risk.
What you should do:
1️⃣ Go to Revoke.cash and check your wallet.
2️⃣ Check Ethereum, Polygon, and Base one by one.
3️⃣ If you still have Limit Break: Payment Processor V2 permission, revoke the right to transfer NFTs and the right to use tokens if applicable.
Revoke.cash says that revoking permissions helps protect any remaining assets, but it cannot recover assets that have already been transferred.
Personal viewpoint:
The most notable point is that a permission granted years ago can become a risk if the old contract still exists.
For wallets that have used marketplaces, checking and revoking no-longer-needed approvals should be done periodically.
