Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has just tokenized its ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) via Securitize—this is the first ARK-branded fund to be officially moved on-chain.
This is not an experimental product worth a few million dollars, but a fund with net assets of roughly $1.3 billion.
Even more noteworthy is what’s inside the fund: a batch of tech companies that haven’t been listed yet or are in a phase of rapid growth, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, and Databricks.
After tokenization, eligible investors can hold on-chain shares of the fund through Ethereum and Securitize. The underlying investment strategy hasn’t changed—the only difference is how the fund shares are issued and held.
