ChainCatcher reported that Twitter has opened most of its source code to the global community and has released two new repositories on GitHub (main repo, ml repo), including the recommendation algorithm (which controls the For You timeline), but currently does not include the code that supports ad recommendations. Twitter said that it has also taken additional measures to ensure user security and privacy, including the decision not to release training data or model weights related to the Twitter algorithm at this time.
Twitter CEO Musk said that Twitter will update its recommendation algorithm every 24 to 48 hours based on user suggestions. (Source link)
