9.24 Gold Customer Daily Review (Noon): The rebound is all bait! A downward channel forms for gold

After topping out at 4303, gold turned lower and has generally stayed in a choppy but weaker range. During the session, multiple rounds of rebound and repair did occur, but each time lacked sufficient upward momentum and quickly rolled over again. The rebound highs fell one after another, and the price center of gravity kept shifting downward.

Market expectations for a Fed rate cut have continued to cool. The U.S. Dollar Index has remained strong, Treasury yields are still elevated, and this directly squeezes gold’s valuation space.

On the 15-minute timeframe, the rebound highs have been declining in sequence, forming a clear downward trendline that keeps pressure on price. Each rebound has become an opportunity for short sellers to add positions, and the overall downward channel is running smoothly.
