The cryptoassets market in Venezuela has a fragmented operating structure where liquidity, quotes, and spreads vary significantly depending on the platform and the financial entity used. By comparing the combined order books from Binance, other platforms versus official benchmarks, a clear dispersion of prices and a structural bias in the depth of the peer-to-peer (P2P) market can be observed.
Based on the readings captured by the P2P Radar, the average buy quote for the USDT/VES pair stands at 947.44 Bs., while the sell quote is 892.28 Bs., setting a currency spread of 55.16 Bs. (6.18%). When comparing this level with the official exchange rate from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), set at 785.07 Bs. per dollar, the premium over the official exchange rate reaches 20.68%. In turn, the parallel reference rate is 939.20 Bs., reflecting that demand for digital hedging keeps quotes under tension.
📊 Order book snapshot: 52% liquidity imbalance
The aggregated order book shows a notable asymmetry between the bid and ask sides. The total accumulated volume on the buy side reaches 642,649.95 USDT across 40 orders, compared with a sell volume of 202,172.45 USDT across 35 offers. This ratio results in an imbalance of 52.14% in favor of absorbing digital dollars versus the availability of immediate sell liquidity.
This phenomenon explains why the market traffic light emits a moderate caution signal with an overall score of 56 out of 100. While the general liquidity indicator scores 80/100 and the exchange’s health reaches 95/100, the effective book depth drops to 30/100 and the spread metric falls to 20/100. This confirms that, although there is a considerable amount of capital wanting to enter the market, immediate supply at competitive prices is scarce and concentrated in only a few segments.
• Total aggregated buy volume: 642,649.95 USDT (40 orders).
• Total aggregated sell volume: 202,172.45 USDT (35 orders).
• Depth imbalance: 52.14% toward demand.
• General market spread: 6.18% (55.16 Bs./USDT).
📈 Dispersion between platforms: the gap of more than 5% between other platforms, Binance, and other platforms
One of the most relevant findings from the monitoring is the dispersion of prices across exchanges. The system detected a 5.64% difference in effective quotes between platforms. On other platforms, USDT buy orders are recorded starting at 929.60 Bs., while on other platforms the sell quote reaches peaks of 982.03 Bs., representing a gross separation of 52.43 Bs. per token.
This fragmentation is driven by the heterogeneous distribution of users and market makers. In terms of ad density, other platforms concentrate 136 buy ads and 31 sell ads, while Binance maintains a balanced structure with 20 ads on each side in the active sample, and other platforms record 20 orders at each end. However, on other platforms, orders with zero volume are detected at intermediate levels (such as 930.20 Bs. and 930.50 Bs.), indicating quote walls that do not necessarily guarantee real liquidity execution.
On Binance, the highest concentration of sell volume is grouped compactly in the range between 930.56 Bs. and 931.00 Bs., highlighting a consolidated block of 62,367.38 USDT at 930.80 Bs.. In contrast, on the Binance buy side, institutional bids are recorded at 935.00 Bs. for 71,220.27 USDT and at 934.72 Bs. for 44,552.53 USDT, marking the standard for the ecosystem’s highest effective liquidity.
