$ONE Three days of losses: -54%, the open interest looks off.
The price was smashed from 0.00523 down to 0.0024. This morning I pulled up the funding rate history—it's the opposite: OI was still up 3.4% over 25 hours. I don’t think it’s the longs running; it looks like brand-new shorts are opening, and they’re opening extremely expensively: funding is -1.05%, annualized -1152%, and shorts pay a 3% daily holding fee.
Long/short account ratio is 0.87, with retail 53.4% shorting; the active buying/selling ratio is 1.07—yet the bid side is actually stronger. I won’t short from here for now. I won’t add anything until we break below 0.002312; only if we reclaim 0.002618 will I take a serious look. Do you think this batch of shorts can hold out until the end of the month’s PCE?
