AEON Trading Competition on Binance Alpha

Binance Wallet launched the AEON trading competition on Binance Alpha, with a reward pool of around US$200k—in the same format used in recent Alpha token contests, such as the one from o1.exchange (O) and the one from BILL.

  • How points are scored: only buy volume counts; sales don’t add points.

  • Early Bird multiplier: the earlier you trade, the bigger the boost on your volume—on the first day of the promotional window, the multiplier is usually the highest for the period.

  • Rising Trader Boost: users who have not yet won (or have won few) in previous Alpha competitions receive an additional boost on volume.

  • How to participate: you need to click "Join" on the event page in the Binance app for the volume to start counting.

AEON was listed on Alpha on July 27, with an airdrop of 250 tokens for anyone who had at least 245 Alpha points. The project positions itself as a settlement layer that allows users — and AI agents — to pay real merchants using digital assets.

Moonshot AI pre-IPO Future (MOONSHOTUSDT)

In the same week, Binance Futures listed MOONSHOTUSDT, a USDT-margined futures contract with no expiration date, providing exposure to the expected value of Beijing Moonshot AI Technology — the company behind the Kimi AI assistant — ahead of a potential IPO in Hong Kong. The contract went live on 22/09, trades 24 hours a day, and supports up to 20x leverage.

What’s important to make clear: the contract reflects the market’s expectations of the company’s value; they are not real shares, and trading it does not make anyone a shareholder of Moonshot AI. If the listing goes through, Binance automatically migrates the contract to a standard futures contract referenced to the stock price; if the IPO doesn’t happen, Binance cancels the contract and settles positions transparently. Moonshot AI already has similar pre-IPO contracts on other exchanges, such as Bybit and MEXC — a sign that demand for exposure to private AI companies via derivatives is only growing.

Why does this matter

Both products share the same common denominator: they give access to something that would normally be out of reach for the average investor — a newly listed token with a cash reward, or a company that hasn’t even gone public yet — packaged with leverage and above-average volatility. Alpha Tokens are early-stage assets, with no guarantee they will go to Spot, and pre-IPO contracts carry the risk of private valuation added to the risk of leverage itself. Before participating, it’s worth checking the official event page and the updated terms, since ranking rules, prizes, and contract parameters can change.
