MoonPay has agreed to acquire North Capital in an all-stock transaction valued at more than $60 million. North Capital holds multiple SEC-related licenses, including broker-dealer, ATS, transfer agent, and investment adviser, and will become a wholly owned subsidiary of MoonPay. The amount comes from people familiar with the matter; MoonPay has not disclosed it. The deal has not yet been completed.
For the projects listed above, there is no direct impact on the order book in the short term. The real variable lies in the tokenized stocks track—whoever can string together compliant issuance, custody, and secondary trading into a single chain will be the one that lands institutional orders.
