Spot Bitcoin ETFs listed in the United States recorded net inflows exceeding $1.7 billion in just two days, signaling a renewed continuation of institutional demand for the digital asset through regulated instruments.

According to available data, net inflows on Tuesday reached $715 million, after the funds saw record flows on Monday of $999 million. This surge in inflows clearly reflects the return of momentum to these products, giving the impression that liquidity is once again moving toward BTC through traditional investment channels.

As the total net assets inside U.S. spot Bitcoin funds rose to about $111 billion on Tuesday, up from an annual low of roughly $71 billion on June 30—an increase of about 56%. Despite this rebound, the total is still about 13% below the annual peak of $128 billion recorded on January 14.

Who led the inflows?

BlackRock led through its iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), adding $350 million in daily inflows. Next came Fidelity’s so-called Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), with inflows of $257 million, followed by the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust with $99 million.

What does it mean to be above the cost basis?

Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart said that the average Bitcoin fund holder returned to the profitable zone for the first time since January, after the price of Bitcoin surpassed the average holding cost estimate of $81,722 per coin.

This development is important because it eases the psychological pressure on a slice of investors who bought via the funds at higher levels, and it may also support confidence in continuing to hold rather than selling quickly. At the same time, large inflows typically imply actual demand for BTC, which is reflected in the liquidity flowing into the market.

The current market picture

These inflows came as Bitcoin traded near $86,000 on Tuesday, before briefly topping $87,000 on Wednesday. At the time of publication, the price was $86,467, up 1.2% over 24 hours and 13.8% over seven days.

For investors, these figures point to three key things: ongoing inflows into the funds, improving unit-holder sentiment, and a higher level of Bitcoin-related liquidity within regulated products. However, tracking daily flows and assets under management remains an important factor in determining whether this momentum is temporary or sustainable.
