The establishment of this series reflects the CFTC’s regulatory approach in the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape, seeking a balance between technological innovation and the protection of investors and market integrity.
According to an official CFTC announcement, the first Frontiers Forum is scheduled for October 28, with a theme focused on AI and agent finance—one of today’s most closely watched frontiers. The agenda, participating guests, and registration information will be released later, and the public can nominate guest speakers.
In the announcement, CFTC Chair Michael Selig said that with a range of technologies rapidly developing and reshaping markets, regulators must engage in deep dialogue with those who build, use, and study the technologies to ensure regulatory policies can keep pace with innovation.
To ensure broad participation and professional quality, the CFTC has also opened a public participation channel and welcomes people from all sectors to nominate guest speakers.
