On Binance, a short position of 7.17 million coins was triggered at 0.2511, resulting in a single trade of $1.8 million.

The leverage chase was equally aggressive: the total open interest across the network jumped 14.6% in one day to $527 million. MEXC added 49% in a day, KuCoin added 24%, and on the Hyperliquid chain, on-chain positions accounted for 8% and also increased by 12%.

But in the past hour, only $34,000 worth got liquidated—98% were longs. Once the shorts are cleared, the new ones who chase in start paying tuition.
